Security is a big concept and it encompasses many dimensions that have wide ranging implications and need to be understood in the context of larger global and regional perspective. There is hardly any denying fact that much of the socio-economic development is contingent upon the overall security situation of any specific location. However expertise and researchers are finding difficulties to define the terms security, threat and its spectrum specially post cold war in the age of globalization. The nature of threat has been changing rapidly and steadily since the end of the Cold War. Many factors are driving this change including the erosion of national borders, the increasing ease of travel and the revolution in technology.

As part of promoting awareness and research program on security we take pride to publish the first private security journal in Bangladesh ‘The Security’. To reflect the insight of security industry ‘The Security’ wishes to work as spokesman for security professionals, service providers and the clients receiving security services.

Our efforts are directed to focus national, international and regional security issues with special highlights on security education and developing awareness. Security cycle at any level can never be completed without the awareness of the general mass. So the ‘The Security’ aims to bridge the gap between the general mass and security operators (governmental and private).
